For your hearing aids to provide you with the best possible hearing improvement, your hearing must be tested accurately...to do so, the tests must be done by qualified personnel in a very quiet environment. That is why at Wards Hearing Aids, all hearing tests are done in a Professional Soundroom by a Board Certified Hearing Instrument Specialist-Dennis H. Ward. Frequently Asked Questions: How long does a Complete hearing test take? To do an Accurate & Complete hearing evaluation, it takes usually 1 to 1 1/2 hours. This includes the time to go over the results with you and explain the options available to you. Why is using a Professional Soundroom so important? The more Accurate the hearing evaluation...the Better performance you will receive from hearing aids built/selected from that information. Noise during testing that can reach your ears will make your hearing appear to be worse than it really is. (The test tones have to be turned up above the noise before you can hear the test tones -- the noise interfers with you ability to hear!) At Wards, we use an IAC Professional Soundroom + AUDIOCUPS headphone enclosures to insure Accurate Hearing Evaluations. (Also, we are located in a normally quiet Medical Area -Doctor's Offices- to start with.)
